Introduction

In today’s digital era, cloud computing has emerged as a revolutionary technology that transforms how individuals and organizations access and manage computing resources. During the seminar, cloud computing was defined as the delivery of various computing services—including storage, servers, databases, networking, and software—over the internet. This model eliminates the need for physical infrastructure on-site and allows users to access resources on demand, with the flexibility to scale up or down based on requirements.

The seminar highlighted the three main service models: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). Each of these models offers different levels of control, flexibility, and management. Additionally, cloud deployment can be categorized into public, private, and hybrid clouds, depending on how the cloud infrastructure is managed and who has access to it. Real-world applications across industries—such as healthcare, education, and finance—were discussed to illustrate the widespread impact of cloud computing.

One of the key takeaways from the seminar was the advantages of cloud computing, including cost savings, scalability, improved collaboration, and remote accessibility. However, the presentation also addressed critical challenges such as data privacy, security risks, and dependency on internet connectivity. Overall, the seminar emphasized that cloud computing is not just a trend, but a foundational technology that is reshaping IT strategies across the globe.

Conclusion:

Cloud computing has emerged as a transformative technology, offering scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions for data storage, processing, and application deployment over the internet. This seminar highlighted the core service models—Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS)—along with various deployment types like public, private, and hybrid clouds. We also discussed the significant benefits cloud computing brings to businesses and individuals, including improved collaboration, accessibility, and disaster recovery, while also addressing challenges such as security and data privacy. As organizations increasingly rely on digital tools, cloud computing continues to be a key enabler of innovation and efficiency across all sectors.
