The National Conference on Emerging Trends in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Systems (ET-AIDS 2026) was successfully organized by the P.G. Department of Computer Science, Fakir Mohan University on 9th-10th January 2026. The two-day conference aimed to provide a comprehensive academic platform for academicians, researchers, professionals, and students to deliberate on recent developments, applications, challenges, and ethical considerations related to Artificial Intelligence and Digital Systems.

The Conference was formally inaugurated with an
eco-friendly ceremony through watering the plant, symbolizing
sustainable growth alongside technological advancement. The inauguration
ceremony was graced by Prof. Santosh Kumar
Tripathy, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Fakir Mohan University, along
with Prof. Bhaskar Behera,
Chairman, PG Council, FMU; Dr. Pabitrananda
Patnaik, Deputy Director General & Additional State Informatics
Officer, NIC, Bhubaneswar- the guest of honour; Prof Siba Kumar Udgarta,
University of Hyderabad- Keynote speaker, Prof. Anirban Mukhopadhyay, University of

Science and Dr. Manaswini Pradhan, Organizing
Secretary.
An edited book with ISBN consisting of selected research papers , the 6th volume of the departmental magazine "Digital Explorer" and a newsletter "CS Bulletin" were released during the inaugural session.
